Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Kerrin are rejoicing in the birth of a son.
Two Shonio children living on High street are ill with canker-rash.
Mrs. Henry Coburn has been threatened with fever, but is better.
Dr. Minard was called to Burlington last Wednesday to assist Dr. Sparhawk in a surgical operation.
Charles Clark has moved from the Center to the new house recently purchased by him of G. W. Randall.
Dr. McIntyre of West Randolph was in town last week to see his aunt, Mrs. Griswold, who is quite feeble.
Mrs. A. B. Remington returned from Hartford last Thursday. Her son Joe now has a good position in Minneapolis.
Rev. I. P. Booth has organized a Teachers' Association in town. It will doubtless prove very beneficial to all the teachers who belong to it.
W. B. Clark and his father have bought the lot adjoining the new residence of J. A. Fife, and G. W. Randall is to build them a house in the spring.
Miss Belle Cooley was given a surprise party by her school-mates on Halloween, and Miss Elliot also entertained a few friends on that evening.
Rev. A. J. Hough of Montpelier delivered a fine lecture in the Methodist Episcopal church last Monday evening, his subject being "How to Get There."
Miss Abbie Haines attended the state meeting of Christian Endeavor Societies held at Rutland last Wednesday and Thursday. She went as delegate from the Congregational society of this place.
The first annual entertainment for the benefit of the library will be given at Barrett's Hall on Wednesday evening, November 13. Considerable effort has been made to make the programme as interesting as possible, and it is promised that the exercises will be varied and novel enough in their character to suit those of all tastes. The trustees of the association expect a rousing attendance.
