SELECTIVE SERVICE HEADQUARTERS SAYS 753 FROM STATE TO GO
State selective service headquarters announced Florida's quota under the second call for trainees next month is 463 white men and 290 negroes.
The office of H. P. Baya, state selective service director, said the trainees would report on the following dates: 63 on Jan. 10; 100 on Jan. 13; 100 on Jan. 14; 100 on Jan. 15; and 100 on Jan. 16.
The negro trainees will report as follows: 70 on Jan. 20; 70 on Jan. 21; 75 on Jan. 22 and 75 on Jan. 23.
Seven Florida counties will send no draftees, since their original quotas have already been exceeded by volunteer enlistments on which they are given credit. These counties are: DeSoto, Franklin, Highlands, Manatee, Monroe, St. Johns and Seminole.
Dade county will supply the largest number of any county, with a total of 140; Duval is second, with 67; and Hillsborough third with 57.
