Methodists Give ACLU Clean Slate

LONG BEACH, June 28. (U.P.) - The American Civil Liberties Union today held a clean bill of health, written for it by a special investigating committee of the Southern California conference of the Methodist Episcopal church in session here.

After a year's study, the committee gave full approval to the union's advocacy of free speech, a free press, and the right of all persons to a fair trial.

Charges that the union is of Communistic tendencies are false, Rev. Oren B. Waite reported for the group.
