TWO BILLS IN HOUSE FAVOR FORD'S OFFER

Secretary Weeks to Transfer Muscle Shoals to Auto Wizard If Enacted

Washington.—Two bills authorizing Secretary Weeks to execute contracts with Henry Ford and transfer to him the government's $106,000,000 power and nitrate projects at Muscle Shoals, Alabama, have been introduced in the house by members of the military committee.

One presented by Acting Chairman McKenzie of Illinois provided for the acceptance of Mr. Ford's offer for the property on condition that the Gorgas steam plant be excluded. The other submitted by Representative Wright, Democrat, of Georgia, called for unconditional compliance with the terms of the Ford proposal.
