Full Text

Hon. Thomas S. Flournoy.

Whatever may be the result of the election for Congress, (in the third district of Virginia,) Mr. Flournoy will have the proud satisfaction to know that he has at least deserved success. Apart from the merits of the glorious cause in which he is engaged, his manly personal qualities and high mental acquirements commend him to the people as a gentleman every way worthy of their confidence and support. In canvassing the district, upon which he entered immediately after his return from Washington, Mr. Flournoy has probably ridden not less than a thousand miles. and spoken on an average every other day for six weeks; and some days he has spoken twice at different places. With a dozen such men as Flournoy, of liberal sentiments, commanding talents, untiring perseverance, and disinterested patriotism. the whole State would be revolutionized in less than a twelvemonth!—Danville Register.
