High Wind Strikes Salt River Valley

PHOENIX, Ariz., Aug. 4. (U.P.)—A high wind and rainstorm struck most of the Salt River valley last night, injuring one man, causing some property damage, and bringing a heavy downpour to many sections.

The storm circled Phoenix to the south, but struck heavily in the Buckeye and Chandler districts.

Charles Hanford, 50, Buckeye, was injured when part of a building collapsed in the wind.

Some trees were uprooted in the Chandler district.

A spectacular electric display accompanied the storm.
