Miss Ravenelle Is New Tax Collector In Thompson Area
Miss Laurenda Ravenelle assumed duties of tax collector in Thompson Saturday, assuming the duties relinquished by Harvey Hebert, inductee, inducted into Army service.
The term of Collector Hebert would expire in October, 1945. Miss Ravenelle will continue in office until the next election, or in the event Mr. Hebert is released from Army service prior to that time.
Town officials have announced that there will be no change in the present tax rate during 1944. The remaining 30-mill levy will be continued through the current year.
