Editorial Comment:

In the meantime it is encouraging to note that Governor Paiewonsky is moving towards the construction of Emergency Housing for St. Croix and has selected a very able man to spearhead the project.

In passing it might be said that public housing projects in blighted areas, and houses for islanders residing on the mainland should be held in abeyance until emergency houses have been provided in both towns.

People living in blighted areas have been looking around for years for places to live which appear impossible to find.

All over the island homes are being constructed but these are far beyond the reach of the ordinary pocket book. These people are looking to the government to help them out of their plight.
