Special Sessions--Before Judge Lynch and Aldermen Harfield and Purdy.--Samuel Moore, colored, was tried for stealing a bird-cage, worth $1 25, from William N. Seymour: Guilty--Penitentiary two months. John McCuen, stealing a camblet wrapper lined with silk, worth $24, from George P. Shipman: Guilty--Penitentiary six months. Julia Manning, stealing a bag of green corn worth $1, from J. F. Hopping: Guilty--City Prison ten days. Thomas Flanagan, stealing $54 from the pocket of Henry Martin: Guilty--Penitentiary two months. James Watts, a boy but old offender, stealing $7 in bills from Ward Searles. Guilty--Penitentiary six months. John Robinson, colored, stealing a tub of butter worth $4 from the waggon of Henry Glande: Guilty--Penitentiary six months. Freeman Gifford, found concealed in the house of Sophia Pitts, with intent to steal: Guilty--Penitentiary three months. Henry McKee, drunkenness, disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a watchman and rescuing a prisoner: Guilty--City Prison 10 days. Andrews Morris, Charles Watson and Thomas Quirk, boys, stealing $1 from Peter Murphy: Guilty--sent to the House of Refuge. Several persons charged with disorderly conduct were discharged on giving bail for future good behavior.
