The Territorial Railway from Nome to Shelton, says the Nome Nugget, is being rapidly overhauled and at present it is possible to travel as far as Iron Creek with a track speeder. The road crew expects to reach Iron Creek in a few days, when the bridge over that stream will be rebuilt. The road is being used by an increasing number of miners and travelers and proving that the Territorial Legislature made no mistake when it appropriated the money for the purchase of the road. Last week, eleven travelers, north and south bound, were gathered at Seppala Station near Big Four. Miss Bertha Saville and Miss Annie Cochrane were among those going up to spend a few days at Iron Creek Roadhouse and Miss Blanche Jorgerson from her trip to the Kougarok and Iron Creek. O. E. Wheeler, proprietor of and dispenser of hospitality at Iron Creek Roadhouse, expects a number of Nomeites out to take advantage of the excellent fishing and hunting.
