The governing Party in the Republic of Genoa pretend to have discovered a Confederacy, which had nothing less in View than the total Subversion of their States; and to shew that they are sincerely apprehensive of this, they are not only repairing their Fortresses and filling their Magazines, but have likewise taken Swiss Troops into their Pay, and have put themselves to such an extraordinary Expence as renders it evident they have a Point of Importance in View of one Kind or other.
