MAN IN STOLEN CAR IS KILLED

Plows Into Vehicle After Being Ordered to Leave State by Judge Harrington

BODY WAS CRUSHED

George T. Larrimore, 27 years old, of near Harrington, was instantly killed Tuesday night when he drove an automobile which State police said he had stolen a short time before in Seaford, into the back of a truck which had broken down on the highway, one mile south of Farmington, on the duPont Highway.

Larrimore, Sergeant Wood of the Bridgeville station of the State Police said Wednesday morning, had stolen the automobile of Harland Morris, of Seaford from Morris' garage.

Larrimore, who has been in the Kent county courts on numerous occasions for various offenses, principally larceny, the last one forgery, was told by Judge Harrington in the Kent county court Tuesday to leave the State and not return for three years.

Larrimore's features were unrecognizable after the accident, but he was identified by a number of people in Harrington Wednesday morning. He was identified by a tattoo mark on his left arm.

Private Orr, who investigated the accident, said Larrimore drove the automobile through flares, which had been placed behind the truck when it broke down because of tire trouble. The lights of the truck were also on at the time of the accident.

Thomas R. Ross, of Bloxom, Va., driver of the truck, was not injured. The truck is owned by C. E. Bundick of Nelsonia, Va. Larrimore was driving north when he plowed into the standing truck.

Larrimore told Seaford people, who talked to him Tuesday night, that he had been looking for work and had been unable to find any but was going to take a bus to New Castle to visit his brother. Larrimore had recently been released from a jail in Pennsylvania on a charge of driving off the car of another person without consent of the owner.

He was brought into the Kent county court Tuesday on the forgery charge. As in former times before the court Larrimore pleaded for another chance and agreed if such a chance would be given, that he would leave Dover and not return for three years. Judge Harrington took him at his word and ordered his release on the condition that he leave the State.
