SHAW TALKS TO BIG CROWD.

Republicans Monopolize All the Virtues, He Says.

Indianapolis, Oct. 20.—Secretary Shaw addressed a large crowd in this city to-night. He said in part:

"Both parties complain this year of great lethargy and apathy on the part of the people. The reason is simple. There is no issue between the parties. The Republican party presents its time-honored principles of sound money, stable currency—in other words, good, reliable business tools and equipments, implements of trade and its equally time-honored and time-tested principle of protection to American labor, and a conservative, stable, liberal policy towards the people inhabiting our insular possessions. Our political opponents present nothing in opposition."
