The number of proposed GI homes for which the Veterans Administration received appraisal requests dropped nearly 25 percent during June, VA announced.

VA received appraisal requests for 52,424 proposed homes during June, 16,856 less than were received in May, 1955, but about the same number as were received during June and July of last year.

Appraisal requests for existing homes showed only a slight decline in June. VA received appraisal requests for 37,795 existing homes, less than three percent below the 38,920 received in May, 1955.

VA received 58,738 applications for GI home loan guaranty during June, the 11th straight month that the monthly rate has topped 50,000.
