Mrs. Mary F. Shepard was a passenger down from Bismarck Wednesday where she had been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Shepard and other relatives. After a few days' visit with friends here she left Saturday to visit at the M. Falgalter home at Kintyre.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Camp, who have spent their vacation on the farm with Mrs. Camp's father, F. J. Zellmer, left Saturday for their home at Platteville, Wis., where Mr. Camp is professor in the schools there.
F. C. Thomas, representative of the Tenny company, has been in Braddock the past two weeks in the interest of the Braddock Equity Elevator.
Miss Isabella Kinney returned Wednesday from a visit to Bismarck.
O. R. Bauer returned home Wednesday after a few days' motor trip to Leola, S. D., where he visited with his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Bauer.
Miss Theresa Silbernagel of Napoleon is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Frank Ryan.
The Woodman Circle met at the home of Mrs. J. A. Allensworth Wednesday evening with a fairly good attendance. After the usual routine of business a lunch was served by Mesdames Allensworth and Bauer. The next meeting will be held in the Siem hall Wednesday evening, September 3.
Mrs. George Dexter who has been on the sick list for several weeks is able to resume her duties at the cream station again.
Henry Jagd, who has been looking after his interests on his farm at Dana, left Friday evening for Chicago to resume his work. Mesdames Savage, Shepard and York drove him to Steele
Mr. and Mrs. John Meier and little son John, Jr. spent the afternoon last Thursday at the O. M. Vie home.
The Shipping association shipped a carload of stock to St. Paul Saturday morning.
O. Feltheim is erecting a new barn on the site of the old one that was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon, August 10.
Messrs. Warner Sempel and Vie Fadden, who have been on a fishing trip for several weeks to Pelican Lake, Minn., returned to Braddock Friday night.
Thore Naaden and children motored to Pollock Sunday to visit with his sister, Mrs. Jones, who was severely burned a couple of weeks ago.
Mr. E. E. Lesher of Kintyre was a Braddock caller Friday.
F. R. Briggs motored to Bismarck Saturday evening to visit a few days with his daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Shepard.
Miss Alice Piers, who has spent her summer vacation with Mrs. Congdon at Palaski, N. Y., returned home Friday evening. Miss Piers made the trip by auto by way of Chicago with friends, and returned home through Ontario and by way of Duluth,
Mrs. Fred Junge returned to Bismarck Friday after a couple of weeks' visit with Mr. Junge and other relatives and friends in Braddock.
F. M. Long arrived home Friday from a two week's visit at the I. G. A. convention at Minneapolis and also with relatives at DeMoines, Ia.
Mrs. E. F. Savage drove Mrs. V. E. York to Bismarck Saturday afternoon to meet Mr. York from which place they motored to their home at Selfridge. Mr. Savage who had been visiting at the York home during Mrs. York's absence returned home to Braddock with Mrs. Savage Sunday evening. Mrs. York is improving very fast after her recent operation for appendicitis.
Rev. Carl Critchett from Nebraska accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Chas. Dibbert and husband and two children of Mitchell, S. D., arrived in Braddock Thursday evening for a few days' visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Allen. Rev. Critchett and sister are cousins of Mr. Allen.
Nearly all the grain around Braddock has been cut, but owing to the rain the first of the week, threshing has been delayed.
Miss Cecil Ryan was a passenger down from Bismarck Monday to spend her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Ryan and other relatives in Braddock.
The Ladies' Aid of the M. E church met Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. C. T. Barton. The Aid donated $25 towards the minister's salary. Lunch was served by the hostess.
