RACIAL PICTURE IMPROVING IN WASHINGTON. WRITER FINDS

WASHINGTON. Dec. 24 - Segregation is slowly but gradually crumbling in the Nation's Capital, according to a recent survey made by the Federal Recreation Committee.

Findings of this survey revealed that many community recreational, educational, social and religious activities and facilities are provided in the District of Columbia for interracial groups as well as for individuals, irrespective of race.

The report states that there are at least four motion picture houses opened to all races. There are also six auditoriums in Washington and one in nearby Maryland where all races may attend legitimate stage
