Frank Kennedy and M. Donoghue for Justices of the Peace-
Conley and Walsh Will Be Constables.

The delegates to the democratic county convention met last evening in Judge J. M. Kennedy's court room and nominated their candidates for the township offices. There was a full attendance from the city, though the outside precincts, except Carroll, were not represented. Col. T. O'Leary was elected chairman and T. F. Mahoney secretary of the meeting.

After a roll call of delegates the nominations were made for justice of the peace. A. C. MacCallum nominated Ed Beaudette, J. M. Kennedy placed M. M. Donoghue before the convention, Hugh Daly named Frank Kennedy, and J. E. McDonnell nominated Tim Sullivan.

The nominations were closed and on motion it was ordered that votes be cast for two, as there are two to be elected.

The result of the ballot was: M. Donoghue, 25; Frank Kennedy, 30; E. Beaudette, 14, and Tim Sullivan, 7.

The first two, having received the highest number of votes, were declared elected to a place on the ticket.

Six candidates entered the race for constable, though one of them, Va Shebat, withdrew before the vote was taken. The others were George Burke, Mich Pickle, J. J. Walsh, Jack Conley and P. Cummings. When the votes were counted they showed Conley and Walsh elected. The ballots were divided as follows: George Burke, 3; M. Pickle, 22; J. Conley, 28; J. J. Walsh, 35; P. Cummings, 6.

The usual motion empowering the county central committee to fill vacancies was passed and the convention then adjourned.
