Building Trades In Schenectady Win

SCHENECTADY, N. Y.-(FP)-

Members of four AFL building trades unions, who had been on strike here for five days, returned to work last week with pay boosts ranging from 12½c to 15c an hour.

The 1,900 unionists were employed chiefly on the General Electric Co.'s $20 million turbine plant and $8 million research laboratory and on the $2 million St. Clare's hospital. Other smaller building projects were also affected.

Unions involved were the carpenters, lathers, masons and laborers.
