Iron Workers Take Game With Edison Team; Score 6 To 1
The C. Q. Iron Workers baseball team, playing in the Commercial league took a fall out of the Wire Pullers team from the Arizona Edison company last evening before a large crowd of fans.
The final score was 6 to 1. The electricians failed to connect and their efforts were like those of one of their own burned out bulbs.
The Iron Workers toss a mean pill having annexed a large percentage of the regulars from the Douglas Greys and are proceeding to wipe up the city circuit in the Commercial league. The games in this club are attracting wide-spread attention because their system brings into actual play so many of the men of the community.
Saturday afternoon at 5 p. m. will see the first game of the play off between the C. & A. and Park Owl teams for the first half championship of the Commercial league both teams being tied at the end of the first half. McBride will start either "Cannon" Concannon or Hodges while Captain Jacks of the Park Owls has not announced his pitching selection. Three games will be played on successive Saturdays.
