40 ARE INJURED IN DISORDERS AT CORK

CORK, Ireland, Oct. 2.—Forty persons were treated last night after civic guards employed stern measures to suppress political disorders.

Clashes between supporters of the United Ireland party and Irish Republican army, which were holding meetings, brought prompt response by the guards who used their batons and tear gas.

Republicans armed with sticks had repeatedly clashed with meetings of the United Ireland party, at which Gen. O'Duffy was delivering an address.
