SAM WANTS THIS MAN

Deserted by his wife, a middle-aged man who said he lived in Crisfield, Md., but who did not give his name, applied to Corporal Grance, of the United States Army today, to enlist in the regular army. The Crisfield man was disappointed when informed that the government did not accept married men for service in the army.

According to the story related by that would-be-soldier to Corporal Grance his wife whom he married last May, left him several weeks ago. He said he wanted to join the army at once.

When last seen the Maryland man was walking toward Market street disappointed and disheartened, both his wife and the government having refused to have him.
