The United
Negro College Fund
drive at Clark College in Atlanta got
underway last week with an explanation of the Fund's purpose
and function by President James
F. Brawley and Dr. William H. Hale,
campus chairman for the drive.
To help reach the goal of $2,500
which has been set by the faculty
and students, a variety of activities
has been planned, in addition
to personal sacrifice contributions.
The overwhelming success of last
year's campaign at the college has
served as an inspiration for the students to match the effort this year.
All class presidents and representatives of the sororities and fraternities are members of the campus
committee, of which Dr. Hale, Prof. Banks and Mrs. Davis are
faculty chairmen. Other members of the committee are Waynan Carver,
