Miss Viola Moon of Columbus, Ohio is spending a few weeks with her people here.

The Catechetical class has been resumed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church since the church has obtained Rev. Scott as pastor and will meet each Saturday at 2:00 P. M.

The monthly meetings of the Parent-Teachers will be held, Monday evening Feb. 17. at the school auditorium. There was a patriotic program, good music and talks by Rev. I. P. Benton and Rev. I. L. Loomis.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eisele of Toledo and Mr. and Mrs. Alva Smith were dinner guests Saturday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Avin Tuttle.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Knight, of Riverside, Il., were week-end guests of Supt. and Mrs. T. W. Knight.

Mrs. Everett Roach of Waterville spent Thursday with her sister, Mrs. Leanna Kinney and Mrs. Vertie Deck.

Mrs. Zelma Peery spent the week with relatives at Wauseon.

Mr. and Mrs. Dane Fenstermaker and family of Custar were Sunday guests of Mrs. Jennie Fiser and Austin.

Miss Jeanette Shively, Andrew Counch and Mr. and Mrs. Don Hoover of Napoleon motored to Detroit to spend the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Johnson.

Mrs. Francis Pittman, Mrs. Arthur Adams and Mrs. Alice Geitgey attended a shower given for Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Pittman, newly weds, at the Lyle Jones home, near Liberty Center.

Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Weaver had as Sunday guests Mr. and Mrs. Merle Rader of McComb.

Friends and neighbors gave a farewell party for Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McCurdy. prior to their moving to Napoleon, Sunday evening.

Mrs. Vertie Decker entertained her three sons from Adrian, Mich., on Sunday.

Miss Ruth Stafford entertained the members of the K. U. B. Sunday School class, of which she is a member and Mrs. Pittman, teachers, did a Kid-Party at the home of Supt. Knight, Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Carr attended the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Harrison at Foleyo. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison were former residents.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stout and daughter Adah of Delphos were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Carlile, Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. C. F. DeTray have purchased the Rechner property.

The Community Institute held here Monday and Tuesday was conceded by all to be a very good one. Attendance was good, good speakers and fine entertainment features. The P. T. A. furnished meals and Monday and the Junior class of the high school, on Tuesday.

Otis Heiserman, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Heiserman of McClure. who enlisted in the National Guard from Monroe, Mich., last October, and was stationed at Camp Beauregard, Louisiana, was the only one chosen from a group of 15 men to attend mechanical school. He was sent to the school at San Antonio, Texas, where he will be in training for 3 months, after which he will return to Camp Beauregard and take up duties as a mechanic.

The Roberts-McMillen Post No. 332 of the American Legion, will register all ex-service men for national defense, on Monday evening, Feb. 24, at 8:00 o'clock. The Legion and Auxiliary will have a potluck supper after registration.

Mr. M. C. Fiser, of Malinta and Monroe, Mich., was a guest on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Denton Mason.

Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Johnson and William. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Kelly. Cleo and Edna and Richard Watkins were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Hoover at Napoleon.

P. J. Shively has purchased the Harner building and razed it and moved it to the farm in Wood county which he and Mrs. Shively purchased recently.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Orwig are announcing the birth of a son, on February 15. Mrs. Orwig is the former Miss Mildred Thrapp.

Mr. Wesley Miller attended the convention of the underwriters of the Beacon Mutual Indemnity Company, held at Columbus, Friday and Saturday. Robert Miller who is attending college in Columbus accompanied his father home for the week-end.

Mrs. Lillian Wroten and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Miller and sons, Herbert Robert and Clifford of Liberty Center were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sept. Mawer, Weston.

The marriage of Miss Violet Couch daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Couch to Mr. Albert Hohn will be solemnized in the McClure U. B. church at 6:30 P. M. on Sunday evening, February 23rd. with Rev. I. Lyle Loomis officiating. Following the ceremony a reception will be held in the church basement.

Miss Martha Long of Toledo will speak at the next meeting of the P. T. A. on March 4, in the school auditorium. Her subject will be, "Germany Under Hitler."

The U. B. Ladies Aid will meet next Tuesday February 25, with Mrs. Mildred Good.

The Legion Auxiliary will hold a euchre party at the Legion Hall, Thursday evening.

Audry Rudolph daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cliffton Rudolph is in Toledo Hospital for observation and treatment.

For the next nine weeks the U. B. church will observe Family Night on each Wednesday evening with fellowship and worship and a potluck supper which is a series of Lenten services.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bowles of Delta, Cecil Brown of Toledo spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Clement Brown. Mrs. Stella Brown was a dinner guest on Sunday.

Mrs. Hattie Bliss, nurse, is on a case in Toledo at present.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Doll moved into their new home, on Route 6, where Mr. Doll's business is located.

Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Barnes entertained a group of relatives at their home on Sunday, which was in celebration of the birthdays of Mrs. Hattie Rowland of Toledo, Sidney VanTassel of Waterville, Mrs. Mary Van Tassel and Mrs. Barnes. The guests were Mrs. Rowland, Mr. and Mrs. Ora Rowland, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rowland, Mr. and Mrs. Casper Barnes and family, of Toledo, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Barnes of Napoleon, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Van Tassel, Kenneth Barnes, Delta, Mrs. Mary VanTassel, Miss Anna Roberts and Mrs. Mellie Kistner.
