It appears certain that the political career of the Jefferson Davis Sheriff of Broward County is at an end.
Sheriff Walter Clark is to appear before Gov. Fuller Warren to face malfeasance hearing as result of a hearing before the Senate Crime Committee here a week ago.
Through questioning before the committee, the Sheriff admitted that he is a part owner in the numbers racket of Ft. Lauderdale. This alone, not to mention the monstrous crime committed against Negro people prove that Clark is unfit to be sheriff.
The ousting of Clark should end a reign of lawlessness and the disregard for the right of Negro people. To those of us who knows Clark's record it is delightful to know that he is on the way out.
