Last Week died at Painswick, in Gloucestershire, in the 77th Year of his Age, Jonathan Catleman, Esq. This Gentleman sold his Estate in the memorable Year 1720, for about 40,000l. taking the Purchase Money in South-Sea Stock, at 700 l. per Cent. which Stock he held in till a few Years ago, when the 40,000l. did not fetch him above 600l. yet notwithstanding his Sufferings, he was a charitable Man, did much good with the Remainder of his Fortune, and was very well esteemed in the Country.
