London, Nov. 16. Last Week died at Painswick, in Gloucestershire, in the 77th Year of his Age, Jonathan Catleman, Esq; This Gentleman sold his Estate in the memorable Year 1720, for about 40,000l. taking the Purchase Money in South-Sea Stock, at 700 l. per Cent. which Stock he held in till a few Years ago, when the 40,000l. did not fetch him above 600l. yet notwithstanding his Sufferings, he was a charitable Man, did much good with the Remainder of his Fortune, and was very well esteemed in the Country.
