Present Three Act Drama, March 29
RICHMOND, Va.-(S N S)-The Virginia Union Players will re-enact the murder trial of Ivar Kreuger, Swedish match king and financial juggler, in Coburn Chapel, Virginia Union campus, Wednesday, March 29.
The three-act play was presented at Shaw University, Raleigh, N.C., Friday as a part of the Negro Intercollegiate Dramatic Association's exchange program.
At the time of the suicide of Ivar Kreuger, revealing the complicated failure of his international financial interests, it was rumored that he had only faked his death, and had really gone to South America to live incognito and in luxury on a fortune that he had established there.
This story is the basis of the play which the Virginia Union dramatic organization has selected.
