Perspective
OF
AMERICA, and her sister
REPUBLIC

AMERICA is rapidly progressing in
every happy and pleasing improvement-
in her Commercial advantages, Arts,
Sciences, and Manufactures, and will ere
long be the Emporium of Trade, and the
admiration of the world. Westward the
Star of Empire takes its way, to young
America--in Arts and Sciences, she bends
her glorious course. See Peace and Plen-
ty in her prosperous Train; the sister Gra-
ces, from their sweet abodes, accompany
the lovely Goddess of American Free-
dom.

FRANCE, too, is aspiring to the no-
ble height of Freedom, Liberty and Bliss.
To crush the tyrants of Mankind, and rear
a Dome to Freedom, see Gallic Sons com-
bine; rallying under Truth and Liberty
they crush proud, haughty Britain, and
hurl the sceptred Tyrant from his rotten
Throne.

The French Republic soon shall rise,
founded on equal laws, confederated for
mutual defence, yet still retaining all those
Rights, which Nature gave, when first the
vital principle animated and inspired Man-
kind. Fair Freedom's Temple then shall
rise, and soon extend throughout the
World. France, may we hail thee happy,
just, and free--our sister in the glorious
cause of Liberty. May Europe's Sons
soon catch the glorious Flame, and Liber-
ty's immortal Clarion sound from pole to
pole.

Whilst Peace and Plenty smile on
our blest Land, her grateful Sons enjoy
those Rights, for which so many Heroes
bled, We sympathize with thee, immor-
tal France, lament thy arduous toils in
Freedom's cause, yet still feel happy when
we oft' reflect, that thou wilt soon be
free.

Immortal Heroes, Patriots, States-
men, of our lov'd Gallic Land, we see
thee rising on the purest plan that ever
dignified Mankind, and gave them Hap-
piness

MILLIA LIBERTATIS.
