SENATE.
Prayer by Rev. G. R. Davis.
Leave of absence granted Beylo.
Temporary leave of absence granted Foley and Williams.
S. B. No. 19, Reported favorably.
Reducing salaries of officers of Esmeralda county.
MOTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS.
Sharon—Concurrent Resolution No. 7. That both Houses visit public institutions on Saturday 26th. Adopted.
S. B. No. 19—Regulating compensation of County officers of Esmeralda county.

The following telegraphic communication from the Governor of California was read by the Secretary:

Your dispatch of the 15th, and letter of the 16th, received, and in reply inform you that I caused a special message to be sent to both Houses of the Legislature in regard to the matter to which you make reference.

At the afternoon session the following bills were acted upon in the Senate:
S. B. 17—Act to authorize payment by the State of cost of special election. Passed, 15 to 4.
S. B. 14—Act to prevent pollution of the water of the Truckee river. Passed, 18 to 0.
S. B. 16—Act to amend an Act relative to the restoration of lost records. Passed, 19 to 0.
Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 8, by Gallagher—relative to the appointment of Joint Committee to secure special train to visit State institutions at Reno. Passed, 18 to 0. President appointed Gallagher and Emmett.
A. B. 12—Authorizing Winnemucca school district to issue bonds. Passed, 17 to 0.

Assembly met at 11 A. M., Speaker Coffin in Chair.

RESOLUTIONS.
By Reip—Concurrent Resolution No. 11, appointing a Joint Committee on irrigation.
Referred to the committee on Agriculture.
By Johnson—Concurrent Resolution No. 12, relative to amending the State Constitution. [Provides for the conveyance of water for general purposes.]

By Blucker— A. B. 31, an Act compelling foreign corporations to employ agents to attend to legal processes.

By Garrard— A. B. 32, an Act to amend Section 16 of an Act to regulate fees and compensation for official services.

A. B. 21—An Act relating to consolidating certain officers in the State.

A. B. 16—An Act to authorize the lighting of the State Capitol and grounds. House went into Committee of the Whole for consideration of the bill, Mr. Garrard in the Chair. Passage of bill recommended.
At 12:30 House took a recess until 2 P. M.
The Assembly cleaned up the afternoon, passing Sharon's bill providing for a special election for submitting the Constitutional Amendments to the people on Feb. 11, and then adjourned until Monday.
