SCHIRMER QUITS
A. OF C. BODY

Intimating that lack of harmony in the Association of Commerce organization made his resignation necessary, Robert L. Schirmer, convention secretary, has submitted his resignation, effective May 1.

The resignation was accepted by the convention bureau committee, Friday, and a successor to Mr. Schirmer is being sought.

In a letter addressed to L. C. Whittet, executive director of the association, Schirmer states that, while he has not made plans for the future, he feels that his resignation is desirable to both the association and himself.

He states that opinions in the association differ and are not crystallized into policies and that as a result, the secretary of the convention bureau is seriously handicapped.

He intimates that the association is interested only in obtaining conventions for Milwaukee and that too little attention is being paid to the home background, needed to properly manage them after they are obtained.
