Convictions in Federal Court
At the first term of federal court held at Harrison last week, Judge Rogers presiding, the following cases were disposed of: Wm. H. Spurlock, retail liquor dealing, fined $100 and thirty days' imprisonment; Marvin F. Haywood and James A. Villines, cutting government timber; Haywood fined $210, thirty days' imprisonment; Villines, $30 and ten days' imprisonment; Jas. J. Roberts, breaking into postoffice, $100, four years' imprisonment; George W. Tennison, retail liquor dealing, fined $100 and sixty days' imprisonment; Thomas E. Bradley, selling cigars unstamped, fined $10 and one day's imprisonment; James F. Bennett, retail liquor dealing, fined $100 and ninety days' imprisonment; James F. Bennett, retail liquor dealing, fined $100 and sixty days' imprisonment; Samuel B. Wingate, mailing obscene letters, fined $100.
