Council Doings.

At the special meeting of the city council last night, it was decided that pipes should be laid in the Crawford addition, on west Main street. The city is to furnish the pipe and cement, and the citizens in that part of the city are to do the work, under the instruction of the street commissioner.

All the city offices were ordered closed all day Memorial day. The question of appropriating $50 for the expenses of Memorial day was discussed with the result that the council decided to pay bills amounting to $25 for conveyance, provided they were sent in with the O. K. of the G. A. R.
