WASHINGTON. D C - 'NNPA- Members of the World Town Hall Seminar. who visited twelve world capitals, were refused service at the Carlton Hotel. within a stone's throw from the White House. because Mrs Edith Sampson, a Chicago attorney last Wednesday
The group had been staying at the Statler Hotel and decided to go to the Carlton for dinner Service was refused them because of Mrs Sampson's presence, the hotel management confirmed last Wednesday
The group then returned to the Statler where they were served without any difficulty
In the group were also Mr and Mrs. George V Denny. Jr., moderator of the "Town Hall Meeting which were broadcast from the world capitals which the World Town Hall Seminar visited.
Mrs. Sampson represented the National Council of Negro Women. as a member of the World Town Hall Seminar and came to Washington for a homecoming luncheon at the Washington Hotel and a nationwide broadcast at the Departmental Auditorium last Tuesday
