Full Text

On Saturday, the 12th Instant, one Thomson was committed to the Goal of this City, for feloniously entering the House of Mr. Ludwick Kuhn, at Kensington, the Night before, with Intent to rob him; the Fact is related as follows. Mr. Kuhn waking in the Night, heard some Noise in the Room, which he imagined to be the Servant attending the Children with something they wanted, but presently feeling somebody reaching for his Wife's Pockets, where his Keys were, he jumped up, and seized hold of Thomson's Hair, who, being a very strong Fellow drew him out of Bed, when a Scuffle ensued; and Thomson threatened to rip him open, if he did not let him go; but Mr. Kuhn, thinking his Life in Danger, made an obstinate Resistance, and at Length over-powered him and secured him: and when a Light was brought, a Knife was found laying on the Floor, near the Bed-side, with which, it is supposed, he intended to have put his Threats in Execution.
