The Wheeling Bridge Case.

It appears that Chancellor Walworth, the Commissioner appointed by the Supreme Court, to take testimony and report upon the Wheeling Bridge, has made his report, which declares the bridge is an obstruction to the navigation of the river, and recommends that it be raised twenty-eight feet above the present elevation. The adoption of this recommendation of the Commissioner would involve the destruction of the present structure. Mr. Totten, U. S. Engineer, by order of the U. S.
