A meeting of the executive committee of the Smyrna Chapter, American Field Service was held at the high school library with Charles M. Gee presiding. He discussed the organizational plan, and the related duties of each committee chairman. He stressed that all correspondence to the New York office be through the president or vice president. Forms for the 1961-62 program have been sent in, and all forms are cleared through the office of Dr. George V. Kirk, superintendent. Mr. Gee read the correspondence to date with the New York office, that Smyrna has not qualified for the 1960-61 program. Letters requesting information have been sent to International Christian Youth Exchange, New York; and Experiment in International Living, Putney, Vermont. Nov. 15 is the deadline for Americans Abroad program, and Feb. 15 the deadline for reporting available homes. Mrs. Margaret M. O'Neill serves as secretary to the executive committee.
