The Biblical Recorder, published at Raleigh, N. C., contains the following item which will be read with interest by many in this city:
"The Southern Baptist Convention has ordered the removal of the Sunday School Board to Memphis, with the understanding that it be consolidated with the Sunday School Union. It is currently reported that the Secretaryship of this Board has been offered to Rev. T. B Kingsbury, of Warrenton, N. C. We hope the report is true, and that this accomplished writer, judicious critic, and able and faithful minister, may there find a sphere commensurate with his distinguished gifts and acquirements. His removal would be a serious loss to our State, but we have few men who would carry with them so much confidence, so much efficiency, and so much hope for future usefulness."
We may add that Mr. K. has reached Memphis and entered upon the discharge of his duties here.
