County Commissioners Say the Charges are Not Sufficient.
Sheriff John Skinner of Cowley county was in the city yesterday taking a patient to the asylum. Mr. Skinner was the gentleman who was charged with County Attorney Fink of accepting fees from the county by false representation. The case came up before the county commissioners a few days ago and Mr. Skinner says he was completely exonerated. He says he will bring a damage suit against Colonel Fink. Mr. Skinner also brought information of the election of Judge Buckman as chairman of the county Republican committee of Cowley county and thinks it was the best selection that could have been made. Judge Buckman is a very able man, has great ability for organization and has the confidence of the entire people regardless of politics. He will make a clean and effective campaign.
