Full Text
Whether it be that our Patrols have not met with any of the Enemy's Men these several Days past, or that the advanced Guards on both Sides are really ordered to take nothing, it is certain that every Thing has been very quiet in our Camps as well as in that of the King of Prussia; which Inaction countenances more than ever the Report, that we are at the Eve of a Peace with the Court of Berlin; But Men of Sense give no Credit to that Report, and maintain that a few Days will shew that we are as far as ever from such a Peace.
In the mean time our Army has been so well reinforced by new Regiments and Recruits from Moravia, Bohemia and Hungary, as well as by the Men recovered from Sickness, that not only our former Loss no longer appears, but even the Muster-rolls shew that the Army is much more numerous than before the Battle of Friedberg.
