The mortality at Point-Petre (Guad.) is represented as not having abated in the least on the 4th inst. The accounts received at New York mention that great numbers of the native inhabitants died daily; and nearly the whole of the troops in the Fort had been swept off, which made it necessary to institute a draft of the citizens to perform the ordinary duties of the Garrison.
