Hernando Gridders Crush St. Leo 32-0 Here Friday
Ronnie Toler, highstepping Leopard halfback, and Philip Moore, Hernando's line-smashing fullback, led the Hernando High School gridders to a crushing 32-0 victory over the St. Leo Lions before a crowd of some 700 fans last Friday night at Emerson Field. The win gave the Leopards a West Coast Conference record of five wins and two losses this season.
Toler was high scorer for the night, smashing across for two touchdowns and two extra points for a total of 14 points. Moore was close behind with two touchdowns for a total of 12 points.
Jimmy Kimbrough, Leopard quarterback who has proved himself to be an outstanding player during the past several games, accounted for the fifth touchdown of the locals.
A check of the statistics on the game showed that Moore and Toler were the mainstays of the Leopard attack.
Moore gaining 162 yards for the Hernando team and Toler, 116 yards.

The Leopards wasted no time in getting the scoring rolling as they took the opening kickoff on their own 35 and marched downfield for 65 yards and the initial score within two minutes of the opening whistle.
