The Man We Read Of!- Newspaper readers
frequently hear of certain lucky chaps who have
drawn the high prizes in a lottery, but they, almost always, are located so far off, and in some
obscure, out of the way place, that it is very rare
that they are come up with by ocular demonstration. We have, however, an exception to record. We
have seen the individual, and no mistake, who, the
other day pocketed and carried off the fourth of the capital prize of $15,000, sold by the Augusta
Agent of Mr. Winter's Havana Plan Lottery of this city, Class N, for June. His name is John L.
Winkle, of Cartersville, Cass co., Ga. Winter also sold several handsome prizes in the lottery of July 15th -Georgia Citizen.
