The Admiralty has sent Orders to several Parts of the Empire, to build, with all possible Diligence, several Frigates, and a great Number of other Vessels, in order to make good the Loss sustained by the Russian Flotilla in the late Fight with the Turks upon the Black Sea. Count Munich is impatiently expected here to assist at the Conferences to be held for taking the most effectual Method for opening the next Campaign with Success, provided that the Negotiations of Peace with the Porte, newly set on foot, should not take a favourable Turn. The Marquis de Villeneuve has wrote to Count Munich, that he has used his utmost Efforts to engage the Porte to conclude a Suspension of Arms, and that he was in hopes of engaging it to content itself with the Restitution of Oczakow.
