The National Intelligencer of the 8th, says:

"The Apportionment question, which has been for so many days on the carpet in the House of Representatives, seems to be as far as ever from being adjusted. Two sets of yeas and nays were yesterday taken upon it without deciding anything; and, what is not a little remarkable, one of them, which has been once decided in the affirmative by a majority of two votes, was yesterday decided in the negative by a majority of twelve votes: The question now depending is between the ratio of 48,000 to each representative, and that of 45,000 proposed to be substituted for it."
