TON OF MAIL EACH WEEK.

Local Postoffice Does Big Business This Fall.

The local post office received orders during the month of September from the department at Washington that all outgoing mail leaving during the month of October and November should be weighed.

According to the order all outgoing mail was weighed and for the two months the mail averaged a ton each week.

At this time of the season with Christmas rapidly approaching the outgoing mail would in all probability reach a higher figure than during the months mentioned.
