Full Text

The Ohio senate has passed a bill fixing 2 cents as the maximum passenger rate in that state. The house committee has acted favorably on it and it will no doubt become a law. The same sort of a bill, it is said, has been offered every year for twenty years but has never got out of the committee room. This year the railroads decided not to give any passes to legislators. Yet we have no doubt that the legislators are so swelled up on their virtue that they feel at liberty to denounce as corporation tools all who do not agree with them.
