Soda Water Sellers Pay $2 License Fee

MADISON, Wis.—Sellers of 'soda water' must pay a flat $2 license fee to the town or city in which they are located.

Sellers of 'nonintoxicating liquors' will pay local license fees of from $5 to $100, the size to be determined by the common council or town or village board. Heretofore the municipal government has been required to fix its fees between $50 and $100.

These are the provisions of the Kamke bill, which became law with Gov. Blaine's signature Friday. Pops, coca-cola, buttermilk 'and other beverages, better known as soda water,' are required to pay the $2 fee, which is a new provision.
