for Brief Talks at the
Court House

Vance
farmers to meet
here at 1:30 o'clock
Monday afternoon
in the court house
to hear brief talks
on the food
situation by
various speakers.
It is expected that
50 to 75 farmers
will attend the
meeting, which is
being arranged by
the county AAA
committee.
Speakers will include
W. A. Anderson,
chairman of the
AAA committee;
Tom Story,
chairman of the
war savings committee;
and others.
The meeting is part of a
state-wide program
of farm mobilization
rallies.
For announcement Friday.
Emphasis will be placed upon the
importance of increasing peanuts and
soy beans in greatest quantities in
the history of the county. These crops
would furnish both food and oil for
the war effort.
Plans are that the program shall

necessity of producing as large food

Extension workers and leaders in
farm activities, as well as a few others,
attended the meeting Wednesday night,
and all farmers in the
county are invited to attend the
rally.
