Margaret F. Wheatley and Bertha Dukes Heads of Class
Commencement week at the Seaford High School will begin Sunday, June 4, when the baccalaureate sermon will be delivered to the graduates in the auditorium of the school by the Rev. John R. Crosby, rector of St. Luke's P. E. Church.
The senior class program will be rendered in the high school auditorium, Thursday afternoon, June 8, and the commencement exercises will be held in the auditorium that evening. The class, totaling 43 graduates, is the largest in the history of the school.
Margaret Frances Wheatley, with an average standing in her high school work of 90.04 per cent, will be valedictorian, and Bertha Dukes, with an average in her high school work of 93.84 per cent will be the salutatorian. Miss Dukes also has a perfect school attendance to her credit of 12 years, not having missed a day since she entered the first grade.
