the commissioners for making roads and bridges in the western district are to meet in this city, and on Tuesday proceed to explore the Mohawk river, below the Cohoes, for a suitable place to build a bridge across that river, and are to be accompanied by Mr. Beardsley, the celebrated bridge-builder, who built Chase's bridge, and one across the Mohawk river, at the Little falls—and on Wednesday they proceed to explore the country, for a road and bridges, from Albany westward—to begin at the house of Isaac Truax, junior, and continue through Duanesburgh to Cherry-Valley, and from thence to the outlet of Lake Otsego
