We are told that Mr. Boardman the federal candidate for Senator in District No. 1, has adopted a new plan of electioneering for himself, by publicly abusing Mr. Woodbury, the democratic republican candidate. This is going on a cheaper plan than treating. The treating plan however, goes on. Some of our friends inform us, that they have seen him repeatedly within a few days invite people from the country into certain taverns near the Portsmouth Parade. He seems to have become the pot companion of some of the old notorious federalists in this District. "Hail fellow well met." This man is supported by the temperance party
